Trond Are Berge | Norwegian Fine Art Photographer | Nature is my Studio

Trond Are Berge

Fine Art Photographer

Welcome to my world of fine art photography.

My name is Trond Are Berge, a photographer from Norway with a strong connection to nature and the landscapes around me. I specialize in capturing the beauty and strength of natural environments through thoughtful composition and the use of light.

I am a self-taught photographer, and my creative work is deeply inspired by the land and life itself. Nature is my studio—a truth that defines my work and guides my creative process. I focus on combining lines, shapes, and colors in a balanced way to create images that connect emotionally with viewers.

One of my most distinctive techniques is my innovative “Photo of photo on photo” approach, which I like to call Projectography. This method allows me to craft my works without relying on Photoshop layers, adding an extra layer of authenticity and depth to my imagery.

My photography has been honored with recognition, featured in prestigious books and showcased on Norwegian television (NRK). I’m proud to say that people from around the world have chosen to display my art in their homes. I am also a featured artist at Singulart Gallery.

As a member of Trondhjems Art Association, I continue to explore new ways to grow as an artist. Photography is more than a passion—it’s a commitment to creating images that inspire curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.

“In Trond Are Berge`s work, we can say that the sense of the photographic shot does not lie in the absolute importance of the subject matter, but in the photographer`s ability to see beauty even in the extreme, where normally this may be overlooked.”

“Trond Are Berge’s passion for nature and the environment is clearly transmitted in his stupendous photographs, but his lifestyle also reveals this commitment to the environment. He spends much of his time outdoors defying the harsh climate of Norway to enjoy the beauty of nature even in extreme situations and his respect and love for nature and animals have led him to be a ranger for several national parks and mountain areas from 1981 to 2020.”
