Beskrivelse
For thousands of years, reindeer have played an important role in the lives, culture and survival of people living in Northern Europe. Their presence can still be found in ancient rock carvings, where generations before us recorded the animals that shaped their world.
Created using Trond Are Berge’s Projectography technique, this artwork was produced on location in the mountains, combining projected imagery, natural elements and light in a single photographic exposure.
Today, wild reindeer are considered a vulnerable species in Norway, facing increasing pressure from habitat loss and human disturbance. A Tribute to the Rock Carving Artists V is both a celebration of the animal’s cultural significance and a reminder of the responsibility we share in protecting its future.
