Beskrivelse
During his first spring as a mountain ranger in Forollhogna in 1987, Trond Are Berge encountered a young reindeer calf that had become separated from its mother after being disturbed by passing skiers. Fortunately, the calf was reunited with its mother later the same day.
Created using Trond Are Berge’s Projectography technique, combining a photograph of the calf with the fractured patterns of broken ice. The layered image reflects the vulnerability of young animals and the fragile balance that exists within the mountain ecosystem.
The artwork is both a tribute to the resilience of nature and a reminder of the care required to protect it.
