Visible from both Sognefjellsvegen and Sognefjellshytta, Fanaraaken stands as one of the defining landmarks of Jotunheimen. Through changing weather, shifting light and long winters, it has become a familiar presence in the high mountain landscape.
Created using Trond Are Berge’s Projectography technique, combining a photograph of Fanaraaken with a second image of air trapped within ice. The layered image invites the viewer to explore the mountain in a new and unexpected way.
